Hi, my name is Michelle Lafrance with Blanchard-Lafrance Accounting & Tax, and today we're going to discuss corporate tax planning ideas. Corporate tax planning is an important aspect for any organization, regardless of the type of business it is. There are special ideas that a corporation should consider, for example, research and development would be a good aspect. With research and development, a tax credit of 24 percent is available in certain circumstances, for companies in respect for expenditure on research and development activities. Another good idea would be the timing of expenditures. At year end, thought should be given to bringing forward any proposed expenditures by the company, in order to claim a tax deduction in the current tax year, as opposed to the following year.
