Universal Remote Control (URC) has released the latest Live Update for its Complete Control Program (CCP), which it also formally introduced. The CCP software allows authorized dealers to program all URC remotes with just this one program. Here are the features added via the Live Update: Web browsing for the MX-6000 two-way color touch screen.
Hi,
1.What happens when you try to connect the Universal Remote?
2.Do you get any error message?
I would suggest you to download the drivers from the Manufacturer’s website and install it and check if it helps.
Hope it helps!

Thanks!
The following was provided from URC:
This most likely means you downloaded the 64-bit version but are running a 32-bit operating system or vice versa. Check to see if your OS is 32 or 64 bit. There is a WMDC 32 and 64 bit version so you must download the appropriate version.

The above didn't work 1st attempt at home.

Pros
hmmm, 10 characters to sum up NOTHING.
Cons
crashed, reloaded both OS and app and still the app could not find its own files.
Summary
too much nit-picking detail necessary to run the remote. almost impossible to upgrade and totally impossible to transfer hours of work from one remote to an upgraded one. thought Logitech was pitiful until tried URC. at least Logitech has a Mac version while URC relies on the unpredictability of Windows.
